Flowers brighten our world

This morning's lovely Ikebana arrangement by K Oiye has been presented by E Watanabe & A Kunihiro in memory of K Enomoto - 8th year (Dec 4).

If you care to donate flowers for a Sunday worship service in memoriam or for a special occasion, please contact T Ichiyen by Wednesday prior to a service. The flowers can be taken to one of our church members or friends to brighten their day.

Our office administrator

has taken an indefinite leave of absence from work and is currently in England to care for her mother. Our thoughts and prayers are with Jean as she works with local care providers to find suitable living arrangements for her mother. During Jean’s absence, staff and volunteers will carry out the essential duties of the church office. Prompt responses to voice mail and email messages to the church will continue. Please contact B George or C MacLean if you need further information on the church office.

Special thanks to J Adamthwaite at Lansing, for helping us out with the bulletin while Jean is away. We are so grateful!

CJUC Bulletin Board

Please note that CJUC has been designated one of the bulletin boards on the landing, going down to the Fellowship Hall.

Sedai, the Japanese Canadian Legacy Project

is actively looking for new volunteers. Sedai's goal is to share the unique history and experiences of Canadians of Japanese ancestry using filmed interviews, text and archival photos. Interested volunteers will be interviewed about their family history and experiences as Japanese Canadians. If you are interested, please speak to Theressa Takasaki or contact Lisa Uyeda, Sedai Coordinator, at lisa.uyeda@jccc.on.ca or 416-441-2345 ext. 303.

God-given gift. It fuels your dreams, lightens your spirits, and lifts your despair. When life becomes a battlefield, hope digs in and fights the good fight.”
