New Church Name Voting Process
Thanks to all who participated in the preliminary voting on the new name for the amalgamated congregation. With your help, we were able to narrow our choices down from 78 to 4, and the next step is for you to vote on the name to be used for our future church. On April 27th and May 4th, you will be able to vote on the four top names. Similar to the process used for the first ballot on Sunday, members and adherents including children are welcome to vote. You will be given a ballot asking you to rank your choices in order of preference.
Please give some thought to the new name choice and try to come on either April 27th or May 4th to cast your vote. The final name will be announced at the worship service on May 11th. The four names to choose from are: Bayview United Church; Bayview York Mills United Church; Joy United Church; Oriole-Centennial United Church.

Barnabas Breakfast Club
WEDNESDAYS - We welcome the volunteers and clergy from St John’s York Mills Anglican Church “Barnabas Breakfast Club”. They will use our facilities to host a monthly community outreach breakfast while major renovations of their property are completed. The program attracts about 25 people who frequently use food banks. Volunteers from St John’s York Mills provide the participants with a hot breakfast, snacks to take away, tokens, time with their clergy, and a time of fellowship. We have donated the use of the kitchen and Fellowship Hall for this community outreach program. They expect to complete their renovations and return to their church this summer. Both the participants and volunteers are grateful for our generous support.
The choir practices Thursdays at 7:30 pm in the sanctuary. Anyone who enjoys singing is welcome to attend.
We are collecting used postage stamps for The Leprosy Mission Canada. They prefer that the stamps are cut from the envelopes leaving about a ¼ inch paper border. The stamps donated are sold by the Mission to dealers, and money raised is used to supply medicine, care and rehabilitation to people suffering from leprosy. The stamps can be left in the STAMP BOX in the church office or given to Marion Felker.
